Tessa Gordziejko is Creative Director of Imove Arts and also a freelance producer, consultant and writer. She was Cultural Olympiad Programmer for Yorkshire between 2007 and 2012, and established Imove as the region’s signature programme, comprising 32 arts projects with a budget of £3 million and an audience of around 4.5 million.
An Arts Producer with over 25 years experience in the cultural sector, Tessa has produced projects and events across all forms of art forms, locations and scale with an emphasis on unusual staging and settings and a passion for reaching new audiences.
Since 2012, she has produced for Imove Arts : Salt Song (music/spokenword/film collaboration, Leeds 2013); The Second Breath (circus/music promenade performance Leeds 2014) ; The Grand Departs (community event involving cycling, a new commission for piano played live whilst ascending a hill, Calder Valley 2014); Small Worlds (Movement/ large scale drawing in Leeds schools 2015); breath[e]:LESS (spoken word/ electronic music/ projection across the north 2015/6). She has also worked as Development Producer for Slanjayvah Danza and Hype Dance.
Tessa was a Clore Fellow 2005-7 and is Chair of Red Ladder Theatre.
