Florence Gill

Flo is a queer, British-Pakistani multimedia artist and theatre-maker. Their recent projects with Chol Theatre and Growth House centred community, cooking, and comedy.

Flo was born and raised in Doncaster, and has worked on creative projects across the USA & UK.They currently work part time at Theatre Royal, Wakefield, as well as freelancing with other Yorkshire based theatre companies and charities. Flo is a trustee of Bennington College (USA) and was the 2022 Production Management Fellow at Berkeley Repertory Theatre (USA).

Flo’s work splays across mediums, bringing people and backgrounds together, and is inspired by our ever-evolving environment. Their studies in politics and experience volunteering with local charities has cemented their belief in the creation of socially active art – that responds to lived experience, encourages compassion and empathy, and that stimulates conversation and action.
