Olamide Phillips Olaniyan

Olamide Phillips Olaniyan, professionally known as Olamide Sax, is a multidisciplinary Afro-fusion artist, participatory creative, and cultural performer whose practice bridges music, theatre, improvisation, and community engagement. Rooted in Yoruba musical heritage, his artistic journey began through traditional percussion before evolving into saxophone, vocals, keyboard performance, and live Afrocentric expression.

 His work blends African contemporary sound with storytelling, improvisation, and participatory arts, using creativity as a tool for cultural connection, inclusion, and shared experience.

 Alongside his live performance practice, Olamide is developing within creative health and participatory arts through the 2026 Artist Development Programme led by darts and Maya Productions.
